Thank You, I did all of this and checked bios. The bios is set to agp initial display. The aperture needs to be at least as large gigaybte the RAM on the video card.
I have installed the lastest Hyperion 4 in 1 update from VIA and looked for the bios flash but could not find it.
If you get the display from th3e startup floppy, it is nottolerance. Thanks, I posterd my comment. To check for this, boot on the startup floppy. The pc works with another video card. Did you clear CMOS on the computer? This sounds like it may be a tolerance buildup problem. With low RAM run a small aperature. Please remember to be considerate of other members.
